I met Yves-Loic and Diana through someone in Etienne, a friend that told me that I absolutely have to meet Yves-Loic, a grand example of woofing for the French.

Yves-Loic is originally from Guérande. Having majored in environmental studies (in college), he became interested in sustainable forms of production and stayed with a friend in the family farmland of the jardins de kerpondarme, near the salty air of Guérande. Little by little, they converted the fields to produce fruits and vegetables which they depend on for food. In addition, the fields also provided a source of water which they also live off of. Therefore, the fields have been able to support the woofers since 2008.

A wood cabin was built in place of a common life, a caravan for the woofers, a camping area. The camp has its own electricity which come from a wind turbine and solar panels. A coop, some sheep to mow the lawn, some dry toilets, a shower as a source of water, the sustainable range of complete compost of the Jardins de Kerpondarme. Diana, Yves-Loic's companion, is a former wooffer who had come back, a beautiful history who led our two friends toward the construciton of a sustainable straw house, before also leaving for a tour around the globe!!
