Fishing Sanctuary

I visited a fishing sanctuary in the area of Surigao del Sur, near Enchanted River. The fishermen organized themselves to protect their fish. They have built guards towers in the middle of the sea.

They also diversify their activity with the production of seaweed.

And they replant the Mangrove in the 90's. They now can see that the fishes come back and think that the Mangrove is like a barrier against typhoon.

A very nice visit to simple people that are happy to live their life, and are still smiling even if they face the worst natural catastrophes every year...
